How does this test work?

• Ping: 6 small fetches to /favicon.ico, trimmed mean + standard deviation (jitter).

• Download: 4 parallel streams of 4 MB random data from /api/netspeed for 8 seconds. Server sends random bytes (not zeros) with Content-Encoding: identity to defeat gzip/brotli — so what you see is what crossed the wire.

• Upload: 4 parallel streams of 1 MB random POST bodies for 8 seconds. Server reports actual bytes received.

• Speeds use decimal Mbps (1 Mbps = 1,000,000 bits/sec), matching what ISPs advertise.
